Trims & Bows - chair covers and decoration hire

Terms and Conditions

  • All goods will remain the property of Trims and Bows.

  • During the period the goods are on hire to the Hirer, they shall be solely responsible for the hired goods and shall be alone responsible for insuring the goods from time of acceptance of goods until return and acceptance of goods back into the possession of the Owner, Trims & Bows. It should be stressed that the goods are the responsibility of the Hirer rather than the venue at which the event is held.  It is therefore incumbent on the Hirer to ensure the safe return, via the venue, of all goods belonging to Trims and Bows.

    DAMAGE & LIABILITY 
  • Unlike many companies in our position we can assure our customers that we are covered by public liability insurance and a copy of the certificate can be provided on request.

  • Trims and Bows shall not be held responsible for injury or damage to persons or property howsoever sustained arising from any goods under hire. We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, abnormal usage conditions, failure to follow our instruction (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the linen without our approval.

  • Prices quoted are for one day’s hire only apart from day of delivery and collection. Subsequent days will be charged at a daily rate unless a special agreement has been arranged prior to the event between the Trims and Bows and the Hirer.

  • Any permanent stains or damage to our chair covers such as mildew damage, food, drink, ink, mud, crayon, pulls in the fabric and burns etc will attract a replacement charge.  Damage/loss deposits are fully refundable on safe return of all our items.  However, if items are lost or damaged Trims and Bows will reserve the right to retain part or all of the damage/loss deposit to compensate replacements.

    For instance, £15.00 per cover will be charged if lost/damaged and £5.00 will be charged for any sash lost/damaged.

  • Order Value= Damage/Loss refundable deposit
    £0 -  £25      =       £10

    £26 - £49     =       £20

    £50 - £74     =       £30

    £75 - £100+  =       £50

BOOKING & PAYMENT TERMS

 Final total payment is required in full 4 weeks prior to the event.

  • Full payment is due 4 weeks prior to the event.
    A £50.00 deposit is required to reserve and secure the date.  A booking can be made provisionally for a date at the discretion of Trims & Bows but cannot be guaranteed until a deposit is received along with a completed Booking Form.  £50.00 is non refundable but will be put towards your total hire charge.  The final balance plus a damage/loss deposit (see details above) will be required 4 weeks prior to the event.  The damage/loss deposit will be returned to you once we have had all our products returned and checked for loss/damage.

    If the final balance has not been received by Trims and Bows by the arranged date, Trims and Bows will have to assume that their services are no longer required and as such the Hirer will forfeit the booking deposit of £50.00 as this was not refundable.  Non payment 4 weeks prior to the event risks automatically having the order cancelled; Trims and Bows will send an email to the customer confirming the cancellation and advise the customer about the retention of the £50.00 non fundable deposit.  All efforts will be made by Trims and Bows to ensure courtesy reminders are sent in a timely manner to avoid any disappointment or misunderstanding.

    In the unlikely event that your function is cancelled after the final balance has been paid, only the damage/loss deposit will be refunded.

    Preferred method of payment is by bank transfer (details on request) or by cheque. 

  • We can accept last minute orders depending on availability. Full payment is required at time of booking for orders required within 4 weeks.

  • Contact should be made via the Trims and Bows’ website or by telephone to the numbers quoted but bookings must be placed in writing and confirmed by the Hirer. No verbal orders will be accepted under any circumstances.  An order will not be viewed as confirmed until Trims & Bows have acknowledged either by email or in writing to confirm receipt of the non refundable £50.00 deposit to secure the required booking date.

  • Please note that since we don't like to rush and depending on the number of covers to be fitted we would require access to your venue at least 2-3 hours prior to your event.
